The sport of ULM count on
a personal airborne controller in the Internet. It is
only necessary to carry on a GPS connected to a
mobile telephone during the flight.
The sistem allows the owner:
- Be tracked via Internet in Real time.
- Real time tracking of the group of pilots user belongs to.
- Download maps from the Internet and/or a PC.
- Program routes and waypoints.
- Send messages based upon events of flight.
- Display usefull free-flight information, such as glide path, wind direction & strength.
- Sending of safety alerts.
gps.Net has been tested in 2004 Spanish Nationals, and allowed Spanish Team to track their pilots in 2004 European Paragliding Championships, helping to pin-point Xevi Bonet when he had to drop his reserve. |
